Creator names are now revealed at the collection. You're welcome to publicly acknowledge your work, promote it, and post it in additional places (please do NOT remove it from AO3). I also recommend downloading gifts as the internet is not necessarily forever.
I've had a fantastic time in this round of Crossworks. Thanks very much for taking part. I'm especially grateful to pinch hitters.
Does anyone have any feedback? My impression is that while things mostly make sense by the point assignments go out, sign-ups are tricky, especially when trying to figure out how to combine multiple versions of a canon while not prompting a crossover that isn't a crossover (or fusion).
We tried Creator's Choice of Fandom this year and I think that worked okay and would be happy to include it again next year.
Speaking of next year, I hope to see many of you again for future rounds!

Date: 2022-09-05 03:34 am (UTC)Creator's Choice of Fandom though did not work out how I expected. I had (wrongly) assumed it would act as a discrete matchable entity given that it could be not only requested but offered as well. It did not.
It functions as "any fandom". Which is perfectly fine for requests, I enjoyed what my assigned creator wrote for me even if I didn't know one of the fandoms, but was intimidating when it came to being given my own assignment. In the end my recip was happy, but I had to binge a new fandom to do it. (Bob's Burger's though, so I can't really complain.)
Perhaps next year it could be suggested to only request and not offer Creator's Choice.

What I would have liked was to be able to request CCOF with the other fandom (so the one I knew) being the focus. I wouldn’t have minded fusion or crossover happening with a fandom I didn’t know as long as the characters I do know were front and center and this wasn’t possible this round.
So I’d like an option to do for example Frozen and CCOF Fusion where the characters from Frozen are the ones being fused. The reason I didn’t pick CCOF was because I personally wasn’t attached to the canons so much that I wanted to see characters from a fandom I didn’t know fused into them.
Also! If in the future we could do something like “Any Animated Disney Movie” or “Any Action TV show” and similar could be cool.
